Introducing Free Bus Service for REALM Students

Introducing Free Bus Service for REALM Students

The new REALM school bus is here!

With our beautiful new custom bus, we’re now able to offer our students free bus service to our middle and high schools!

We’ll also use the bus for transportation on school field trips and for our REALM sports teams.

As the only charter school in the area to offer free bus service, we’re thrilled to better serve our school community by making it easier than ever for our students to get to and from school.

Important Update on our New Middle School Location

Important Update on our New Middle School Location

Dear REALM Middle School Families:

I am writing to provide an update on our facilities for the 2018-2019 school year. As many of you know, we have a brand-new facility at 1798 Scenic Avenue in Berkeley. This new location is part of our long-term plan to remain in Berkeley and to provide an exceptional education to your children. We selected this building based of its proximity to UC Berkeley and because of the partnership with the Pacific School of Religion. Construction is underway at our new building but we recently ran into an issue that will delay our ability to move in before the start of school. We are improving the strength of the building to withstand an earthquake and we are using the highest standards set by the Berkeley Building Department. This additional work will delay our move in date by four-weeks.

In the meantime, we were fortunate to sign a short-term lease at the Tehiyah Day School in El Cerrito. The are closing their school as of July 1, 2018 so their entire campus is available for a six to eight week rental. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you and/or your family. We just found out a few days ago that construction was not going to be completed in time and we felt that this is the next best solution. We promise this will be temporary. We will be in our new, long-term home very soon. Teachers and staff have been planning to make the temporary home as loving and conducive to learning over the past few days. They are also very excited to see and serve your children.

I promise to remain in communication with you throughout this process and will update you with any changes and so as they become available to me.

Temporary address:
Tehiyah Day School
2603 Tassajara Ave.
El Cerrito, CA 94530

If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call at (510) 809-9800. Again, thank you for your understanding and support.

Remember, the first day of school is August 22, 2018 at 8:30 AM.

Sincerely

Victor Diaz
